About the Rice Purity Test

What is the Rice Purity Test?

The Rice Purity Test is a self-graded survey that originated at Rice University in Houston, Texas. It consists of 100 questions that assess the participant's level of "innocence" in worldly matters, particularly regarding relationships, substances, and rule-breaking behaviors.

Rice Purity Test History & Origin

Originally created as a way for college students at Rice University to bond during orientation week, the test has since become a popular internet phenomenon. It serves as a fun way for friends to compare experiences and spark conversations.

Rice Purity Test – How Scoring Works

Your score ranges from 0 to 100. You start with 100 points, and for each question you check (indicating you've done that activity), one point is subtracted. A higher score indicates greater "purity" or innocence, while a lower score suggests more life experiences.

Rice Purity Test – Privacy & Anonymity

Your answers and score are completely private. We do not store, track, or share any of your responses. The test runs entirely in your browser, and no data is ever sent to our servers. Your privacy is our top priority.
